GRAHAM SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCING

The award-winning Graham School of Irish Dancing has been in existence since 1986.  Dancers range in age from 4 years to adult and are trained for competition whether they choose to compete or not, a certain level of excellence is expected.  All dancers are encouraged to perform whether at school, weddings, retirement residences, recitals or concerts.

The teams consistently place at the Eastern Canadian Irish Dance Championships.  The senior teams have been in the top five of their group for the last five years.  This past July, two of the senior dancers qualified at the North American Irish Dance Championships to dance in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the 2012 World Irish Dance Championships.

Classes are held in Mississauga, Milton and Hamilton and as a result, the dancers come from St Catharines throughout the Golden Horseshoe in Etobicoke.  Sheila and Alexandre Graham are the teachers and choreographers of this dynamic group.  The dancers are thrilled to be a part of Celtic Christmas.  Nollaig Shona Daoibh.  www.grahamirishdancers.com

Moira Nelson & Elena Jubinville

- harp, cello, vocal harmonies

From solo instrumentals to a cappella harmonies, original compositions to traditional favourites, this unique and versatile duo blends an intriguing variety of musical styles from Celtic to classical,  Bach to blues.  The pair have released two CDs and two more are now in the early stages of production.

Performing together for over ten years, Moira and Elena have developed a remarkable musical chemistry.  As a mezzo soprano, Moira prefers a slightly higher vocal range, while Elena handles the low notes with ease. The two appreciate and enjoy a wide variety of musical genres which has led them to develop their own distinctive and engaging style. Recent performances have received very positive feedback from audiences who find their music ethereal, magical and compelling.

We look forward to being part of this year's Celtic Christmas Concert and will bring  along a variety of music  so there's something for everyone. http://www.willowmyst.com
